Biography
Described as “inventive, brooding and atmospheric” by XS Noize, Veins combine gritty bass and hypnotic drums with layered guitars and melodic vocals to create a sound that nestles ethereal intimacy alongside post-rock grandeur.
2017 saw the band release their debut single Ambi to positive reviews and radio play across the UK, Europe and U.S.A, including the Huw Stephens Show on BBC Radio 1; as well as a slot at Camden Rocks Festival alongside the likes of Feeder, Pulled Apart By Horses and many more.
More exposure and live shows followed with the release of second single Blood On My Hands in 2018, whilst 2019 has seen fewer live shows in favour of concentrating on writing for a debut album which is planned for early 2020.
Live, synth textures and orchestration are layered on top of the classic three piece set-up to ensure the band maintain the huge sound captured on record, which has seen their live performances described as everything from sounding like ‘an arena band in a pub’ to ‘massive - like the end of every film ever’.
